Large wheel thrown, raku fired in a white crackle glaze.

Raku firing is a low-fire process. It involves removing the pottery from the kiln at peak temperature and placing it into containers with natural combustable materials. This results in unique effects every time. Please note that all raku items are not water tight due to the porous clay and therefore dried flowers are encourage when using as a vase. Otherwise they look great as purely decorative pieces!
